6 scents to help you de-stress

Sometimes life can feel a bit overwhelming - stress, motherhood, poor sleep... not to mention running your own business! Yet I am constantly amazed by the tranformational properties of aromatherapy. Blended properly, using high-grade oils the therapeutic benefits can be properly mood-changing. Whether that's in a candle, body oil or a long soak in the tub. In celebration of National Relaxation Day, I've put together some of my favourite products that help me to de-stress:

relaxing reed diffuser

Our Coco Fig and Smoky Quartz candle (£30) helps remove negative energy and promote relaxation - it's a great candle for the evening as its properties are said to help with insomnia and invite deep sleep. Or why not try the reed diffuser (£34) in the bedroom?

this works pillow spray

I swear by This Works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray (£26) when I'm travelling to give me that feeling of home - it's a blend of Lavender, Vetivert and Camomile and the clever 'motion activated' formula means the scent is activated all night long.

aromatherapy associates inner strength review

The Inner Strength range from Aromatherapy Associates is really powerful. Designed to 'aid you in finding your inner strength during challenging times', it was formulated by founder Geraldine Howard for use during her own cancer treatment and has become one of their most loved bestsellers. The body oil (£46) is the perfect gift for someone in need of a little TLC.

luxury scented candles relax

To combat stress, the Amethyst and Mimosa Lily (£30) is a great option for the workspace - amethyst helps bring positivity and relieve stress, whilst the blend of golden mimosa, violet and lily is a pretty floral scent to lift your mood.

Ila Spa bath salts

Ila Spa, made in Oxfordshire uses the highest quality organic ingredients in their 'Inner Peace' bath salts (£49) including mineral rich Himalayan salt crystals, sandalwood, jasmine and Rose Otto. It's a luxurious soak, but well worth the guaranteed 40 winks afterwards.

Neom de-stress roll on

For a shot of 'aaaah' on the go, 95% of testers reported Neom Organics Stress Relief roll-on treatment (£8) helped them feel calmer and less stressed. A blend of 24 essential oils, including lavender, jasmine and rosewood -  it's great for nervous fliers (like me!) or to pop in your handbag.
